Hidden Defrag
My only gripe with vista is the new defrag tool.
I miss not being able to see what is happening as you could with XP, and in Vista it seems to take for ever to defrag. Otherwise I have got use to the new way of file searching etc.

I agree, the Vista defrag is pretty silly. Not only can you not check the defragmentation progress, there is no option to even select the volume(s) on which to run defrag.
After my first encounter with Vista's defrag, I installed Diskeeper Pro 2008, and have been extremely satisfied with it's performance. It was recommended to me as the #1 defragmenter by members of various internet forums, and I think they were spot on. Fast, unintrusive, reliable and stable, best describes Diskeeper's behaviour with Vista.
